Virtual Graveyard
[Due to the lightness of the stone the photographs do not reproduce the inscriptions well.
Thus this is a simulation of the interior walls of the Phelps mausoleum.]

The brass cross on the altar is inscribed:

The crypt was built by John Jay Phelps, I. His son, Francis Alexander Phelps (age 8) was the first to be put into the crypt on May 15th, 1849. His father, Alexander Phelps was placed there February 26, 1852. His mother, Elizabeth Eno Phelps was put there October 12th, 1868. One year later, on May 12th, 1869, JJP died.
