Jewelry

Personal adornment has always played an important part in human history. From wearing one's best clothes on special occassions to showing off wealth through jewelry, people have always had a fondness for adding sparkle to hands, necks, ears and hair. The following represents just a sample of RTL's inventory. We can make necklaces, bracelets, earrings (French hook or post) and hairsticks in a variety of styles, primarily Ancient, Oriental, European and Native American. Each piece we make is unique. You may use any design you see below and request changes based on any other design you see or desire. Price for most items is based on materials -- some beads simply cost more than others. We will give you an estimate of the price based on the current rate of the materials needed.

At present our jewelry inventory is hairsticks (always sold as a pair), necklaces and earrings.

Hair Sticks

Long painted hairsticks without additional decoration are $3 per pair. Beads or other decorations vary in cost and as such must be priced per order.

The Asian style hairsticks above left are made with cloisonne beads. To the right, more sparkling elegance.

Above and right are examples of our Crossroads Trading Post designs. We will be adding necklaces and earrings very soon, so check back often.

Hairsticks, such as those above -- bone sticks and skull beads -- are for the inner pirate in all of us. Go a little wild.

Those pictured to the right are shorter sticks of white bone, one with silver leaves; the other with sacred white buffalo of the plains tribes.

Most of our hairsticks cost $5-$8 per pair, but as has been stated use of cloisonne, painted china, or carved bone can add significantly to the cost. To date the most expensive hairsticks RTL has made (middle left, second row) are $30 per pair. Whatever you fancy, let us know.

Necklaces

The necklace to the left has a Celtic triskele pendant. The necklace on the right has a red jasper arrowhead pendant. Other arrowhead pendants include blue howlite, carved amber, tiger iron and handmade Apache obsidian.

Clasps vary. You can specify if you want an authentic toggle or something more modern, such as a barrel clasp, lobster hook and ring, or strung with elastic. Necklaces are $20-$25 each.

Above left is a necklace with three arrowheads.

Above right is a hairstick and earring set, priced at $18.
