"Well, that is up to you, of course. Depends on what you want to do, doesn't it? If you are looking for your friends from down there, I drove a bunch of them to Albuquerque, and they were talking about seeing if there was any research about the Cleft at UNM. Some of the others are staying around here."

"Where?" you ask eagerly.

"Carlsbad to explore the caves there," Jim replies. "and a few went to La Casa to hang out with this study group they have there."

"Study group?"

"Friends of the Fissure. We used to think they might be a cult, but they are really nice and totally harmless. They run a B&B just down the road about 15 miles. There's a sign on the road -- can't miss it."

The sun is rising fast and the morning is getting warm. You thank Jim. He nods farewell as you return to your vehicle.
