Kerrville - Sheffield P. Wilds, age 75, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2000, at his home in Kerrville, Texas. Sheffield P. (Ted) Wilds was born in Aiken, South Carolina on March 31, 1925, to the late Dr. Robert H. Wilds and Eleanor P. Wilds. He was a native and former resident of Aiken, SC, but spent the last three years in Kerrville. Mr. Wilds was a life long amateur radio operator and a model helicopter enthusiast. He served in WWII in the navy, then in the army. Mr. Wilds and his wife owned and operated their own airline in South Carolina for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Lorinda, son and daughter-in-law Robert H. and Dara D. Wilds along with their daughter Anna R. from Canton Mississippi, son and daughter-in-law Thomas B. and Susannah E. Wilds along with their children Thomas S. and Stephen A. Wilds and Alyse Hughes of Columbia, SC. Mr. Wilds is also survived by a brother Dr. Preston Lea Wilds of Norfolk, Va. and Julia Williamson of Aiken, SC.
All arrangements are under the direction of Wright's Funeral Parlor of Kerrville, Texas.
